My myspace layout is cute, but the only thing im upset with is- is that all the letters are upper case. and when i make my comment box it the letters uppercase also. is there a tweak to make text lower case?
might be the font...click inside the HTML box, hit CTRL and F to search through the text. type in "font face" and see if anything shows...if it doesnt it might be CSS which i dont understand, but if a font shows up, change it to times, verdana, tahoma or something.
because there is a layout that I like, but I would like to change the background to just plain black instead of the pattern that it is. I was wondering if this was possible and if anyone could help me. Thanks.
Sorry to say, but It's not possible with this layout to change the background by simply changing something in the code. If you right click and see the main image:

The background is part of the image, so there is no way to remove it by changing the code.
You would need to download the image, modify it using Photoshop or a graphics program (which requires some graphic skills), upload it somewhere on the web and change the path of the image in the code, as well as change the path of the page background image as well.
Just change this...

To this...
background-color:000000;
000000 = Hex Code For Black
Edit: Sorry, but you cannot change the background on a DIV layout unless you make/edit it yourself using photo shop, paint shop, ect. The background itself is the layout.
You can try leaving a comment on the page, asking if he/she could edit it for you or you can post a layout request in the forums...some of the people on there take requests.

I came across lovemyflash.com and love it!!! Finally a site with layouts that makes my myspace page look like a website, not a myspace page. I like their layouts as starting foundations but want to tweak their layouts more than what they offer. For example, I'd like to choose different fonts for different areas of my page other than what they offer). Anyone know of a way to tweak their layouts more?
Just read the code %26amp; edit the fonts, colors, ect. it's easy if you know html %26amp; css.

Some of those DIV/Flash layouts have the text on the layout/background itself, which you'd have to edit in Photo Shop or some other type of photo editing software.

I've often wondered this. Now a days, we have the gift of advanced (still advancing) technology at our fingertips. With the push of a button, we can make ourselves whatever we want to be.
For instance, we can say that we're "this" or "that" on our MySpace page. In photos, we can tweak our bodies and facial features to make them appear more beautiful or whatever. The thing is no one will know if we're faking it or not.
This in mind, what do you think we're becoming? (Sorry. Phrasing this question proves difficult! But I still hope you can understand the "gist" of it!)
I think it is easier to create false realities nowadays. Sometimes they are so convincing we can even fake ourselves out. Say you build yourself up in a shameless show of exhibitionism on MySpace. You create a you that's better than you. At first you know you're b.s.ing people, but with time you forget and it becomes "real." Before MySpace, this kind of thing was limited to streakers and karaoke. You can't fake much with those things.
Most definately, yeah, sure you can type how good a person you are, or what kinda answer you may give, may look good, but you don't have that body language, or anything like that to show how you really feel. Sure throw in a couple of !!!! to it, and maybe it will give it more language. And the picture thing, I can tell you mine is real, I'm to dang lazy to alter it any for a "Good" image. If anything, the dang camera is probably broke, lol
In a hundred years, the technology we have now will seem like nothing. Well, compare now to the technology 100 years ago (and they thought they were advanced... and they were, I guess).
It's always been easy to fake anything you want. The tools have always been there with equal success, relative to the times (pen names, greased lenses, etc, etc...). As technology to skew reality advances, so does our knowledge and ability to detect such technology... so the margin is always the same.
So no... it's not more difficult to perceive what's real or fake (not that there's always an actual distinction though, honestly) now than ever before. But it's always been hard for many people.
I would say that it is not more difficult but that it is more inviting. It is more inviting to blur the line between reality and imagination. Is that a bad thing?
After all, is reality what we perceive it to be or is it independent of our observations?

www.TowerCodes.com is adding the code soon. It's not on there yet though for some reason even though there's a page for it. So just keep checking back every now and then. I think you're supposed to repost a bulletin or something to get access to it, but something on the page isn't set up right yet.
In the meantime, I don't know why the code in the caption box technique isn't working. Are you setting it up right? You do need to take the url from tinyurl and put it in quotations, but it needs to look like this: %26lt;img src="URL"%26gt; Did you forget the %26lt;img src="..."%26gt; part? If so, try that.

Well you can type on Google "myspace tweaks," or "myspace codes," and there will be a whole bunch of different websites for you to do whatever you want to your myspace. =)
Try this link, I have this on my myspace. You just upload a picture of yourself and it shows you which celebrity you resemble, and you can post it on myspace for everyone to see. My friends thought it was fun.
